1. Educational tools only
Every calculator, comparison, and AI assistant response on https://coincalc.in is provided strictly for educational and informational purposes. Results are mathematical estimates based on the inputs you provide and the assumptions stated on each page. They are not recommendations to buy, sell, or hold any financial product.
2. Not investment advice (SEBI)
CoinCalc is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as an Investment Adviser, Research Analyst, or Portfolio Manager. Nothing on the Site constitutes investment advice as defined under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013.
For investment recommendations specific to your situation, consult a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser (search the public register at sebi.gov.in).
3. Mutual fund risk disclosure
Where our calculators reference mutual fund NAVs (sourced live from AMFI), they do so as illustrative data. Past NAV performance is not indicative of future returns.
"Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks. Read all scheme-related documents carefully."
4. Not tax advice
Income tax, capital gains, HRA, TDS, advance tax, and gratuity calculators apply the slabs and rules published in the Finance Act and Income Tax Act, 1961 in force at the time noted in each calculator's "Last reviewed" stamp. The applicable law changes; rounding rules vary between assessing officers; specific exemptions, surcharges, and clauses may apply to your situation that our generic calculators cannot model.
For tax computations that affect your actual return, consult a Chartered Accountant or a tax practitioner authorised under the Income Tax Act, 1961.
5. Not insurance advice (IRDAI)
Term-insurance and retirement-corpus calculators use the Human Life Value method or analogous public methodologies. They estimate a coverage need but do not recommend any specific policy, insurer, or rider. For actual policy selection, consult an IRDAI-licensed insurance broker, corporate agent, or your insurer directly.
6. Live-data and rate sources
The Site fetches certain figures from public feeds:
- Mutual fund NAVs from AMFI (Association of Mutual Funds in India), refreshed daily.
- Foreign exchange rates from exchangerate-api.com (USD-based reference rates), refreshed daily.
- Government scheme rates (PPF, SSY, SCSS, NPS, EPF, FD interest, GST, stamp duty) from the latest notifications we could verify. These change quarterly or annually.
We make best efforts to keep these current, but we cannot guarantee that any rate displayed at any moment is the latest one published by the issuing authority. Always cross-check with the official source before acting on the number.
7. Assumptions in projection calculators
Long-horizon calculators (SIP, retirement corpus, loan EMI projections, SWP) require assumptions — expected return, inflation, salary growth, future tax slabs. These are user-supplied inputs, and the results are arithmetically correct given those inputs. They are not predictions of what the future will actually be. Markets, inflation, and policy can and will diverge from any assumption set.
8. AI assistant (SubhSri) output
SubhSri synthesises responses from the same underlying calculator formulas and from general knowledge of Indian personal finance. AI responses can be incorrect, incomplete, or out of date. Verify every material number it gives you against an authoritative source. Do not treat SubhSri output as professional advice of any kind.
9. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites (RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, AMFI, fund houses, news articles). We do not control or endorse the content of those sites, and we are not responsible for any decisions you make based on information found there.
10. No fiduciary relationship
Use of the Service does not create any advisory, fiduciary, broker-client, or agent relationship between you and CoinCalc. We owe you no duty of care beyond what is stated in the Terms of Use.
Bottom line
We built CoinCalc to make Indian financial math transparent and fast. The decisions are still yours. For anything that materially affects your wallet — a job change, a home purchase, a tax filing, a policy renewal — get a second opinion from a qualified professional.
